Current Decertified non-wood baseball bats

Currently, there are three (3) non-wood baseball bats that the NFHS has decertified for use in high school competition. This short list is subject to change. Additional non-wood baseball bats could possibly be added to this list. The decertified bats are the following:  

Marucci Cat 52 33" non-wood baseball bat (Decertification notice date: February 21, 2012)  

Reebok Vector TLS 32" non-wood baseball bat (Decertification notice date: March 26, 2012) 

Reebok Vector TLS 33" non-wood baseball bat (Decertification notice date: March 26, 2012)  

These bats should be considered non-compliant and subject to NFHS Baseball Rules 4-1-3b and 7-4-1a. 

NFHS Alters Signal Sequence for Officials in Volleyball

In an effort to improve the flow of play in high school volleyball, the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Volleyball Rules Committee has altered the signal sequence for officials.

Fox Sports to Use Skycam for 5A Division 1 Football Championship Game

FOX Sports Southwest’s telecast of Saturday’s UIL 5A Division I championship from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington at 8:00 p.m. CT between Allen and Houston Lamar will be the first ever high school game to incorporate a Skycam.

UIL Football Playoff Radio Broadcast Rights Information Available

Radio stations that would like to broadcast Texas high school football playoff games for teams in conferences 3A-5A, in the quarterfinals, semifinals or finals, must contact IMG. IMG is the exclusive radio broadcast rights holder of 2012 UIL high school football playoffs. 

Football State Championships Tickets are on Sale

Tickets for the 2012 UIL Football State Championships at Cowboys Stadium are now on sale via Ticketmaster. Tickets for the 1A 6-Man Football Championship games at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene will be available for purchase at the stadium the day of the games.

UIL Announces 2012 Football State Championships Locations and Schedules

The 2012 UIL Conference 1A-5A football state championships will be held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, the UIL announced Tuesday. The Conference 1A 6-man Division I and Division II football state championships will be held at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene.

NFHS Baseball Bat Decertification

The National Federation of State High School Associations has decertified the 32-inch Reebok Vector TLS non-wood baseball bat. Please direct any questions to the UIL Athletics department

The Rules Compliance Program for 2012-2013 is Now Available

The UIL Rules Compliance Program (RCP for the new school year is now open. All coaches must complete the course prior to the first day of practice for their first sport season. The course is optional for athletic trainers. A copy of the Rules Compliance Program certificate of completion must be filed with the school.
